Things to do on the weekend: Acting classes for adults in Dubai
After all, we all need some drama in our lives
Acting classes for adults by Dubai-based theatre actor, director, and entrepreneur
If you’re looking to upskill your acting skills or just aspiring to try your hands at something new, then it’s never too late to join an adult acting class. For, yes, as they say, we all need some drama in our lives. Join EnAct’s weekly classes — held every Sunday at a studio in Dubai, with the facilitator, Rashmi Kotriwala. Rashmi, a well-known name in the performing arts circle of Dubai, walks the students through the basic principles of acting. The classes are designed to give the participants a chance to test their knowledge, with practical exercises and tasks. Other than covering the basic elements of the training of the mind, body, and voice to effectively fulfill the demands of a role; the course also teaches one how to approach the scripts and characters, how to prepare for a role, and more. A minimum of three months (12 sessions) is what you’d be required to sign up for.

About EnAct: EnAct, a platform to promote performing arts, was founded in 2019. EnAct’s cultural repertoire is varied and includes, apart from plays, open mic events, play reading sessions, motivational talks, etc. At EnAct, workshops are held for children and adults, at two levels — beginners and advanced.
